What’s So Good About Goodlettsville TN?

Friday, April 3. 2026

Paducah (26,900 souls) is just 137 miles from our home away from home, the Grand Ole RV Park and Market. The town lies at the confluence of the Tennessee and Ohio Rivers.

The worst flooding in Paducah history occurred in 1937 causing the city to build flood wall. Murals were painted on the wall to make them much more pleasant looking.

We take I-65 all the way to our spot for at least a week, the Grand Ole RV Resort and Market. The sites are OK, not too tight and not really spacious. The highway next to the rV parks is really busy, thus noisy. Add to that the trains go by at least four times a day.

All that noise yet there is a light at the end of the tunnel- the park offers live Country Western music every night, Yee Haw!! Between the main road is a descent mow strip so the muttzos were happy.

So the good about Goodletsville is that it is a town that neighbors ours, its RV park is very good and highly rated. The RV park’s location is handy. AAaaaanddd, they have live music most every night.

The Main Street of Goodletsville is loaded with antique shops and I mean loaded. There was always people snooping in those shops. Nope, we didn’t go in.

We are about 10 minutes from our new home in Hendersonville. We’d move in but our furnIture is still on a truck in Las Vegas and the pieces we’ve purchased her not ready for delivery. When our bed is delivered then we’ll move in.

So for now , we wait for our furniture and visit with our daughter, her hubby and the grands.
